My Experience of Learning to Play the Guitar

Learning to play the guitar is a challenging but rewarding journey that has brought me a lot of joy and growth. I have always admired people who can play the guitar, so last year, I asked my parents to buy me a guitar and signed up for a guitar class. At first, it was much harder than I expected. Holding the guitar correctly made my fingers sore, and pressing the strings accurately was very difficult. I often played wrong notes and felt frustrated, even wanting to give up several times. But my teacher encouraged me, telling me that practice makes perfect. I started practicing for 30 minutes every day after school, repeating simple chords and basic melodies. Gradually, my fingers got used to the strings, and I could play simple songs like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “Happy Birthday”. As I improved, I became more confident and started learning more complex songs. Now, playing the guitar is my favorite way to relax. When I feel stressed from studying, I pick up my guitar and play a few songs, and all my worries disappear. This experience taught me that persistence is the key to success, and that every difficulty can be overcome with hard work and patience.
