At first, remembering the hand gestures was challenging, but with daily practice—practicing with a friend and watching sign language videos—I began to sign confidently. I now use simple sign language when interacting with neighbors who are hard of hearing, and it has deepened our connection. This hobby isn’t just about learning a new skill; it’s about breaking down communication barriers and showing respect for different ways of expressing oneself. It has taught me empathy, patience, and the importance of making communication accessible to everyone.
