Visiting a Traditional Chinese Medicine Shop

I visited a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) shop with my grandpa last weekend. The shop had wooden shelves filled with dried herbs, like ginseng, wolfberry, and chrysanthemum. A TCM doctor showed us how to identify different herbs and explained their uses—chrysanthemum tea can soothe the eyes. I helped the doctor weigh herbs and wrap them in paper. Grandpa bought some ginseng to make soup. The doctor gave me a bag of chrysanthemum flowers. This visit taught me about the wisdom of TCM. It’s a part of Chinese culture that has helped people stay healthy for thousands of years.
