Transforming Old Clothes into Handbags

Our community held an "Old Clothes Transformation" activity, and I turned my mom’s old jeans into a handbag. First, I cut the jeans into a rectangular shape, then sewed the sides with a needle and thread. I added a zipper I took from an old jacket and decorated it with colorful patches. At first, the stitches were uneven, but the community tailor taught me to sew in a straight line. After two days of work, the handbag was done. It was strong and unique. My mom carried it to work and received many compliments. This activity taught me to reuse old items. It’s amazing how waste can become something useful with creativity.
