Learning to Use a Digital Camera

My dad gave me a digital camera for my birthday, and he taught me to use it. First, he showed me the buttons: “This is for zoom, this adjusts the flash.” I practiced taking photos in the park. I took pictures of flowers, birds, and a dog playing. At first, my photos were blurry. Dad said, “Hold the camera steady and focus on the subject.” I tried again, and this time the photos were clear. I took a photo of my family at sunset—the sky was orange, and everyone smiled. I printed the photo and put it on the fridge. Using a digital camera taught me to notice beautiful things. I learned that a photo can keep a moment forever.
